One can hardly find a person who has not experienced a tooth ache. As compared to other pains, toothache is one such pain which can be excruciating and it would absolutely drain you. There are instances where individuals in spite of taking proper care, precautions, oral hygiene have experienced problems of toothache. A tooth pain is like an uninvited guest. It can erupt at anytime. But you do not have to get petrified. One can get respite from it through some ayurvedic medicines or some antibiotics.

Herbal medicines for toothaches would definitely give relief but ensure that you take them in a tincture form. It would give immediate help by reducing the soreness and the tenderness of the gums and the tooth. Your infection would also be taken care to a great extent. What is the right method for consuming a tincture? One needs to consume at least a tablespoon and gargle with your mouth well. The tincture acts on your infected part, numbs it and gives you relief from the pain and discomfort.

Basically, tincture helps by anaesthetizing the infected area. The problem could still persist. You need to consult your dentist immediately to trace out the root cause of your problems and nip it in the bud itself. Just as we have mentioned before, a toothache can occur at any time. It could just errupt on a weekend or a holiday, when you cannot take an appointment with the dentist. At such times, a tincture can also give you a great amount of relief from the throbbing pain.

One should not delay the visit to a dentist, as these would accelerate your problems. The infection may seem to subside, but do not take your teeth for granted. At a later stage, when the problems becomes very serious, even your dentist would not be able to help you out. Infections and cavities need to be treated without any loss of time because if it is left undetected and untreated, then it could lead to many other diseases of both the gums and teeth. Your dentist would advise you whether you need to go in for a cavity filling, or in case there is any rotten teeth, then the only alternative left would be to extract it. Unless absolutely necessary, pulling out the teeth would be the last option your dentist would resort to. He would try and save your tooth through a root canal treatment.

Another drug which you can resort to is Ambesol. They can be applied to painful teeth; this would give you a good amount of relief. But in case the infection is too bad or the tooth is so bad, then I am afraid even this would not help you. You can also go in for Tylenol or aspirin tablets. They are dissolvable tablets; you need to hold it on the painful tooth, within seconds you would get great relief. There is a bitter taste associated with these tablets, but that is a lesser problem. 75 % of your problem is taken care when you get instant relief from the pain.

To get permanent cure for your teeth, you need to visit the dentist. Treat the problem. Your dentist would normally recommend antibiotics for curing the infection. Once the infection is through, he would recommend an x-ray to check for any cavities, gum disease etc. Most of the toothaches occur due to cavities. The dentist would advise you on a cavity filling.
